16:0-12:0(azido) PS is a synthetic phosphatidylserine analog with a saturated palmitic acid at the sn-1 position and an omega-azido fatty acid at the sn-2 position. Following incorporation into membranes, the azide handle can be derivatized with alkyne-functionalized fluorophores or affinity tags via CuAAC or copper-free SPAAC, supporting fluorescence-based imaging or affinity enrichment workflows. This enables users to visualize apoptotic cells or enrich PS-binding proteins with high specificity and without the steric interference of pre-conjugated dyes.
