16:0-6:0(azido) PS is a synthetic, short-chain clickable phosphatidylserine analog. It features a saturated palmitic acid at the sn-1 position and a short, azide-terminated chain at the sn-2 position. The terminal azide on the short sn-2 chain provides a chemically reactive handle for conjugation to alkynes via CuAAC or copper-free SPAAC. Relative to long-chain PS species, the short sn-2 chain can increase aqueous manageability and promote faster membrane exchange, which can be advantageous for enzyme assays and surface-labeling workflows.
