Monitoring the levels of the ceramides (Cer) d18:1/16:0 and ratios thereof in human plasma empowers the prediction of fatal outcome of coronary artery disease. Avanti has now made available these ceramides in a stable isotope form as a convenience for a newly described validated liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry methodology for their clinical-scaled measurement. This product is deuterated which will enable the study of structure, dynamics, and function of this lipid within the cell.
