Dlin-MC3-DMA is a synthetic ionizable lipid with a pKa value around 6.4 that is predominantly used in the formation of LNPs for drug delivery. Dlin-MC3-DMA has been used clinically for the delivery of small interfering RNA (siRNA) and messenger RNA (mRNA). It has also been used for the transfection of plasmid DNA (pDNA) to the spleen in mice.1
