Where in the World is Walt?

From October 16 to 19, Walt will be attending the 44th Symposium on Hormones and Cell Regulation: Inositol Lipids in Health and Diseases at the Mont Sainte-Odile, an abbey founded 13 centuries ago, in Alsace, France. There he’ll hear some amazing speakers from all around the world discuss phosphoinositides in intracellular trafficking, phosphoinositide metabolising enzymes in health and diseases, organelle communication, and more. Attendees will also get to here some short talks selected from submitted abstracts.

After the Symposium, Walt will be returning to the U.S. for the Bioactive Lipids Conference in Florida, October 20 to 23. There he’ll have the honor of presenting the Outstanding Achievement Awards for 2019. The winners for this year are Junken Aoki, Ph.D. of the Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Tohoku University, Jesper Z. Haeggstrom, M.D., Ph.D. or the Karolinska Institute, and Sarah Spiegel, Ph.D. of the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine.
