DSPE PEG(2000) DOTA(Gd) 880272 1,2-distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine-N-[tetraazacyclododecane-N-tetraacetic acid(polyethyleneglycol)-2000], Gadolinium salt
DSPE-PEG2000-DOTA(Gd) is a PEGylated chelator lipid in which DSPE is conjugated to a gadolinium complex via a PEG2000 spacer and DOTA chelating agent. This lipid functions as a long-circulating contrast agent for MRI. The inclusion of the PEG2000 spacer provides steric stabilization, which inhibits protein adsorption. This extended half-life makes it ideal for vascular imaging and tumor detection. It is commonly used in the development of liposomes for simultaneous drug delivery and imaging.
